Terms of Use
Effective July 12, 2026 · Recap for iOS
Acceptance
By downloading or using Recap, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The app
Recap is a screen recorder and editing studio for iOS. Recording your screen, browsing your library, playback, sharing, and saving are free and unlimited. Recap Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks the Reaction Cam, Voiceover, Trim editor, and Ultra-quality capture.
Subscriptions & billing
Recap Pro is an auto-renewable subscription billed at $9.99 per month through your Apple Account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you record. Only record screens, audio, and video you have the right to capture, and respect the privacy and intellectual-property rights of others. Do not use Recap to capture content in violation of any law or third-party agreement. iOS prevents the capture of certain protected content (such as call audio and DRM-protected media).
Your content
Your recordings are yours. Because Recap stores everything on your device and has no server, we never receive, host, or claim any rights to your recordings. You are solely responsible for backing them up (for example, by saving to Photos or Files).
No warranty
Recap is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While the app is designed to preserve recordings safely, we cannot guarantee against data loss caused by device failure, low storage, iOS behavior, or user action. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions: gomarcinai@gmail.com.
