These terms cover your use of the Steppy iPhone app and this website, provided by MT Solutions, LLC. By using Steppy you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Steppy.

Using Steppy

Steppy is an alarm app that asks you to walk a number of steps before a race is finished. You are responsible for choosing a step goal that is safe for you. In a group, the owner sets the step count for everyone. If it isn't safe for you, use a Just me alarm or leave the group. Walk somewhere clear of obstacles, especially when it's dark and you just woke up.

Health

Steppy is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice. Talk to a doctor before changing your activity if you have a health condition.

Alarms

Steppy uses Apple's AlarmKit and your iPhone's step counter. Alarms depend on your device, its settings, its battery and iOS. We work hard to make alarms reliable, but we can't guarantee that an alarm will ring or that every step will be counted. Don't rely on Steppy as your only alarm for anything critical.

Your account

You sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID secure: you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 to use Steppy. You can delete your account at any time from the You tab.

Your race name

Your race name is visible to your groups and everyone on the global board. Don't use a name that is offensive, impersonates someone or includes someone else's personal information. We may change or remove names that break this rule.

Group stakes

Groups can agree on stakes for each period's winner. Stakes are a private agreement between the people in the group. Steppy only records what the group agreed to. It does not collect, hold or transfer money or prizes, and it doesn't enforce any stake. Keep stakes legal, safe and kind. We may remove stakes that are abusive.

Send Your Proof and your content

After a group alarm walk you can send proof: an optional selfie, shown to your groups and deleted after 7 days. You own your photos. You give us permission to store them and show them to your groups for that time, and to put them in images members share if you turn on "Let groups share my face".

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post nudity, violence, hate, harassment, other people without their permission, or anything illegal. Only share images of other members the way the app allows. Anyone can report a photo, which hides it for everyone right away, and block a person, which hides each other's photos. We look into reports and remove content and accounts that break these rules. You can also report anything to info@marcinai.com.

Points and races

Points, wins, streaks and leaderboards are for fun. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money or prizes. We may change how scoring works.

Fair play

Don't try to fake steps, tamper with the app, or harass other players. Shaking your phone instead of walking can get you tagged CHEATER in your group's lineup. We may remove access for anyone who does.

Steppy Pro subscription

Steppy Pro unlocks the app and is sold through Apple's App Store as an auto-renewing subscription: $9.99 per month or $29.99 per year (prices in your local currency may differ). New subscribers get a 7 day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when the trial ends, or at purchase if you aren't eligible for a trial. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings, or from the You tab in Steppy. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Your use of Steppy is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

Our content

The Steppy name, design and app are owned by MT Solutions, LLC. You may share your own scorecards and screenshots.

Disclaimer and liability

Steppy is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, MT Solutions, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including missed appointments or injuries from walking, arising from your use of Steppy.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date above. Continuing to use Steppy means you accept the updated terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
