Dark Browser: Night Mode · MT Solutions, LLC · Effective October 26, 2026

Dark Browser changes how websites look on your iPhone and iPad, and it is built so what you browse never leaves your device. This page explains exactly what happens with data, in plain English.

The short version

Dark Browser collects nothing about what you browse. There is no account, no ads in the app, no analytics SDK and no tracking of any kind. Its Safari extensions work entirely on your device: one restyles the colors of web pages, and the ad blocker in Dark Browser Pro gives Safari a list of ads to block. We never see what you browse, and we built it so we can't.

Two kinds of data leave your device because of the app: the purchase record a Pro subscription needs, which Apple and RevenueCat handle, and crash reports, which Sentry handles. Neither includes anything you browse. Both are explained below.

Who we are

Dark Browser: Night Mode ("Dark Browser" or "the app") is made by MT Solutions, LLC ("we", "us"), 3445 Midway Drive E 207, San Diego, CA 92110, USA. This policy covers the Dark Browser app and its Safari extensions for iPhone and iPad, and the Dark Browser pages at aibuilders.vip/app/darkbrowser.

What the Safari extension does

When you open a website, the extension runs inside Safari on your device and builds a dark color theme for that page as it loads. The page content it reads to do that is processed in memory and is never stored, logged or sent anywhere.

To theme some pages, the extension may fetch that website's own stylesheets from the website, the same files Safari loads to show the page. That request goes from your device to the website and carries nothing from us.

Safari shows a standard notice that the extension can “read and alter webpages.” Apple shows that wording for every extension that works on websites, from password managers to ad blockers. It names the permission, not what an extension does with it. Dark Browser only uses it to change how pages look.

Ad blocking in Dark Browser Pro

Dark Browser Pro blocks ads with a second Safari extension, a content blocker, which Settings lists as Dark Browser, Content Blocker. It gives Safari a list of rules that describe ads, and Safari applies them on your device as pages load, blocking or hiding the ads they match.

The content blocker never sees the pages you visit. Safari's settings show that it has no permission to read or send content from any webpage, and it sends nothing to us or anyone else.

The list is adapted from EasyList, a public list of ad rules, and ships inside the app. It changes only when the app updates, so the ad blocker downloads nothing on its own.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you, and nothing from your browsing. Your browsing history, page contents, passwords and personal information are never collected, stored or sent by Dark Browser. The app contains no analytics SDKs and no advertising SDKs, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not use your device's advertising identifier. We do not sell or share personal information.

Your settings

Your mode, theme, warmth, dimming, bedtime schedule, site rules and the Block ads switch are stored on your device, in storage shared only by the app and its Safari extensions. They are not sent to us. If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, they may be included in that backup, which Apple or your computer handles under your own settings.

Safari keeps its own ad blocking settings: the switch that turns the content blocker on, and the websites where you turn content blockers off. The app only checks, on your device, whether that switch is on so it can show you.

Purchases and subscriptions

Dark Browser Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment. We never see your name, email address or payment details.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to check whether you have Pro and to unlock its features. To do that, RevenueCat processes a random app user ID created on your device and your purchase history for Dark Browser, such as which plan you bought, when, and whether it is active. This is not linked to your name, your email or your Apple Account, and it never includes anything you browse. We also look at these purchase records in total to understand how the app is doing. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.

There is no account to sign in to. To use Pro on another iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Apple Account, tap Restore purchases in the app's Settings.

Crash reports

When the app crashes or runs into an error, it sends a crash report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) so we can find and fix the bug. A report contains the technical details of the error, such as which part of the app's code failed, plus your device model, iOS version, app version and a random ID created when the app was installed, so we can tell how many installs a bug affects. It never contains your name, your email, what you browse or anything from the websites you visit, and Sentry does not store your IP address with it. If Safari can't load the ad list, the app sends a report too, with the error and the size of the list. The Safari extensions do not send crash reports. Sentry deletes reports after 90 days. See the Sentry Privacy Policy.

Reporting a website and contacting us

If you report a website that looks wrong, or tap Contact support, your mail app opens an email to info@aibuilders.vip. A report includes the website's domain name and, when sent from the app, the app and iOS version so we can reproduce the problem. You see exactly what's in it, and nothing is sent unless you tap send.

When you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply to you and to fix the problem, and we never add you to a mailing list.

The Dark Browser website

The Dark Browser pages at aibuilders.vip count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The setup test page checks inside your browser whether Dark Browser darkened it, and does not send the result anywhere.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard request data such as your IP address to deliver the pages.

Data retention and deletion

Everything the app stores lives on your device, so you control it. Deleting the app removes all of its data, including your settings and site rules. Purchase records kept by Apple and RevenueCat follow their own retention policies, and Sentry deletes crash reports after 90 days. If you have a request about your data, email us and we will help.

Children

Dark Browser is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no account and never asks anyone, of any age, for a name, an email or other personal details.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example California or the European Economic Area, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to object to how it is used. Because the app never collects your name, email or account details, we usually have nothing tied to you to return or delete. You can still contact us with any question or request, and we will respond as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. This version is effective October 26, 2026.
